Extractions

Only when a tooth cannot be saved

Sometimes a tooth cannot be saved and needs to be removed to prevent ongoing pain and infection. Common reasons for extraction include severe dental caries, trauma, crowding of teeth, or baby or wisdom teeth not falling out or growing incorrectly.

At Malone Dental an extraction will only be carried out when no other treatment is available to successfully save the tooth. As we understand that some patients may feel nervous about extractions, we pride ourselves on providing a caring and comforting experience, and carefully determine the best way to remove the tooth with the minimum of discomfort.

When we assess that the extraction could be associated with particular complications, we will refer you to a specialist oral surgeon.

For any treatment we provide, we start by understanding your unique dental needs. We will be with you at every step of the process to carry out the best treatment for you as well as preparing your teeth for the best continuing results.
